Top 5 Disneyland Moments

I know that it has been a few weeks since my trip to Disneyland, but I still wanted to highlight a few of my favorite moments! Since the trip was short, we didn’t have a lot of time to see everything – but we did experience quite a bit. Besides the Disneyland Half Marathon, here are my top 5 moments.

World of Color

I had heard about this amazing nighttime show of water, lights, projection images and music. I had no idea how completely incredible it would be!

Keep in mind, I have been to Las Vegas. I have seen – and loved – the fountains at the Bellagio. They are nothing in comparison to World of Color!

It goes beyond a water ballet by adding colors to the fountains, projecting images from your favorite Disney movies on a ‘sheet’ of water, all timed to classic Disney songs. Add in a few surprises, and this 30 minute show keeps you intrigued the entire time!

Tower of Terror Laughter

One of our absolute favorite rides is the Tower of Terror, so we were excited to try it on the west coast. We are the type of people who laugh hysterically instead of screaming. Usually we get some crazy looks – but it’s how we handle the drops of the ride!

When we rode it on the west coast – we had quite the surprise. After every drop, the ENTIRE car would break out into laughter! It was so fun to have everyone around you reacting the same way to the ride – and it was music to my ears!

Radiator Springs Racers

First of all, Cars Land is amazing! It truly feels as though you have entered the movie.

Then there are the Radiator Springs Racers! We were able to get early entrance into the park since we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, so we headed straight for the racers. This ride was so much fun! First you head through portions of Radiator Springs, then go on a high-speed race with another car outside! We had a blast, and headed straight to get a FastPass so we could experience it again! (No wonder it had a 2.5 hour wait later in the day!)

Roz on Monsters Inc.

While exploring Disney’s California Adventure, we headed to Monsters Inc, Mike & Sulley to the Rescue. This ride is cute and takes you through the movie. At the end, Roz (the secretary that is “always watching Wazowski”) is an animatronic figure. Little did we know that she would have something to say to B Lee.

That’s right, someone is controlling her and speaks specifically to each car full of guests. This time, she spoke directly to my husband.

“Hey you, in the third row. You’re a stud! I’ll be in your closet tonight!”

Needless to say, we had quite the laugh. And no, she wasn’t in our closet that evening.

Where Walt Started It All

The first time we entered Disneyland Park and walked down Main Street USA, I got chills. Knowing that this park was what Walt dreamed of for his daughters was truly amazing. The attention to detail at this park is unparalleled. I walked through the park with wide eyes, imagining how Walt felt as he created it. And the Walt and Mickey statue? Beautiful.
